PARTNERS
The following are partnering organisations which have supplied youngsters for the programmes, support or other services within the past 12 months without which Operation Breakthrough could not operate.

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups
The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) has grown into the territory's major youth work organization since it was established in 1960. It provides opportunities and facilities for the social, educational, cultural and physical development of young people. Income is from government subvention, grants from the Community Chest of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, other trust funds, programme fees, and both private and corporate donations.
HKFYG is dedicated to setting up a youth membership network and providing quality services that solve young people's problems and promote healthy all-round development. Over 60 service units organize more than 10,000 activities annually. Attendance at programmes now stands at 5 million a year. We devote our resources and energy to twelve core services, all designed to meet young people's fast-changing needs.

Hong Kong Police
Operation Breakthrough was formed in 1998 by a number of Hong Kong Police officers who were concerned with the rise in juvenile crime and saw sport as being a means by which juveniles at risk could benefit and reduce the chances of recidivism. It is furthermore believed that there is a great mutual benefit from the interaction between Police officers who volunteer to assist in various Breakthrough activities and those participating in the programme.
Breakthrough owes much to those Police officers, both serving and retired who have devoted their own time to ensuring the success of the programme. The Police Force continues to show strong support for the Breakthrough initiatives and the programme is extremely grateful for the use of some Police facilities for various activities.

Hong Kong Rugby Football Union
The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union assisted in the start-up of the Breakthrough rugby section. The first Head Coach was Rambo Leung from the Union's Performance Department, a legendary figure in local rugby development and the first Chinese player to represent Hong Kong. Since then there has always been at least one Union Development Officer involved with Breakthrough, and several of the older Breakthrough boys have gone on to complete coaching qualifications and now assist the Union in delivering programmes in local schools. In 2009 a Breakthrough graduate successfully applied for a full time position with the Union, and is now employed as a Community Rugby Officer. In addition, many of the Breakthrough boys and girls have their education supported through the Union's Charitable Trust scheme.

British Chamber of Commerce
The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is a dynamic, independent, non-government body which represents 500 companies of all sizes and origins. We bring our members together, facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience, giving access to key resources and contacts to help build the profile of business.
The Chamber jointly hosts our annual boxing smoker which raises a substantial amount for our charity. The following is an excerpt from their magazine.
"It's hard not to be inspired by the passion, drive and dedication of the young boxers who stepped into the ring at this year's Boxing Smoker event. The Chamber once again worked with the Hong Kong Police to put on this unique event, where Chamber members and their guests enjoyed a fantastic evening's entertainment. Even guests who would perhaps not count themselves as fans of the sport were drawn into the drama. This event is the only event where the young people who train at the Hong Kong Police Boxing Club have chance to fight in front of a large high profile crowd; it's clear they love the big occasion and their energy is infectious!"
