ICAP Charity Day 2014 Supporting Operation Breakthrough

Friday December 3rd was a special day for Operation Breakthrough as we were chosen as one of the charities for the annual ICAP Charity Day in Hong Kong. ICAP is one of the world’s leading financial broking and electronic trading companies and every year in all their markets they give away/donate 100% of their revenues to positively change lives. In the past 22 years more than UK Pounds 120 million has been given away to deserving charities around the world.

Operation Breakthrough supported by members of the Hong Kong 7’s team, martial arts star of the popular TV series 'Arrow' singer songwriter Celina Jade, together with Women’s World Snooker champion Ng On Yee and Laureus Ambassador Annabelle Bond all visited the offices of ICAP to meet staff, have photos and see how the trading floor works on this special Day. Representatives of Breakthrough included directors, Matt Lindsay, Mal Thompson and John Carroll together with Operation Breakthrough youth engagement officer Surez Gurung and Ivan Chan and Breakthrough financial manager Matthew Liu.

One of the highlights of the visit was the entrance of some Breakthrough success stories including Leung Tsz Lam, Chan Ho Cheung, Yip Man Kuen and Wat Chi Kin who are now serving police officers and still fully active ambassadors for Operation Breakthrough as well as fireman Daniel Wong, and HKRFU coach Peter Ng Chiho.

A special shirt presentation was made to ICAP North East Asia Regional CEO, Benny Luk and North Asia & Regional Business Manager COO, Ashley Walsh by current Breakthrough under 16 rugby player Hui Yat Hin as a grateful recognition and thanks for their generosity in choosing Breakthrough for this year.

The ICAP Charity Day on December 3rd raised UK pounds 8 Million worldwide. www.icapcharityday.com
