Football News - Coaching, fun and community development

The Football programme finally started it's Saturday afternoon sessions after the Holiday break at the beginning of the October. Breakthrough Football is introducing our coaches Kenji Ho Chin Sing, Fan Chun Man Tsubasa.

With the kind sponsorship of Edrington Asia Travel Ltd, the Saturday lunch time sessions kicked off at the newly renovated KGV pitch with some 10 year old boys and girls from the H.K.S.K.H. Kowloon City Children and Youth Integrated Service Centre - Jockey Club Youth Express along with their coach Ah Sa. From 12;30 -2:30 every week young aspiring players will be receiving coaching and practice drill from HKFA qualified coach Kenji Ho Chin Sing and his assistants as the programme expands.

Last Saturday, we had a visit from an Indian community group who all are keen to participate. Older youths were put through their paces on a busy day for coach Kenji. Community office Jasmeet Singh is delighted to bring more footballers of a younger age to integrate into the programme in the coming weeks.

Two more community groups have been invited to the sessions and we hope that in the next few weeks the pitch will be full of young players who want to develop their skills with the round ball.

The summer Wednesday evening programme with 15 young Thai/Chinese footballers from the Kowloon West Police district has been extended up to December.
