3 OB boy in Junior Rugby world cup in Portugal.

Just wanted to let you all know some very exciting news for Breakthrough and in particular three of our rugby guys.

Whilst I always stress that Breakthrough is all about the participation and playing the game it is nice when some of the lads do well at an elite level.

This summer Hong Kong have qualified for the World Rugby U20 tournament to be held in Portugal next month and no less than 3 Breakthrough lads have made the squad. The HKRFU link is at http://www.hkrugby.com/eng/news/4793.php and our three lads are Li Tsz Hin, Tang Cheuk Hang and Ken Encarnacion. Hang Jai and Ken were playing for us this season and Tsz Hin played for us up to a year ago, when he became too old for Colts rugby. On the Union website their senior clubs are showing, Tsz Hin and Hang Jai are with Tin Siu Wai Pandas and Ken is at Gai Wu.

The good news for us is that Ken is still U19 next season, so we are hoping that he will be able to find the time to continue to turn out for us.

I am sure you will join me in wishing them all the best and I will endeavour to give you regular updates on how things go.

One date for your diaries is 23 May 2015 and I am not talking about the HK v Japan match which will be held on that day. On the same day we have a 4pm KO at Tai Hang Tung for the Breakthrough Old Boys v our current U19s. It promises to be great fun and a good get together. It will be followed by our awards dinner at the Police Club. Everyone is welcome, but if you do want to attend the dinner please let me know.
