Day out at Hong Kong Soccer 7’s
For the second year running Operation Breakthrough Soccer players were invited to watch some of the top youth teams from the EPL and teams from Hong Kong and Asia compete in the Hong Kong Soccer 7’s
Organizers of the annual end of season event provided complimentary passes to 60 players, coaches, and parents on Saturday and everyone was treated to some exciting action.
There were finals of a junior competition as well as a national girls exhibition match. EPL champions Leicester City were playing as well as Aston Villa, West Ham United and local teams Eastern and Kitchee.
Highlight of the day was when Hong Kong's Chan Yuen ting the first woman to coach a men's soccer team to top-flight title came over to talk to some of the players present “about never giving up and following your dream” she was presented with a Breakthrough cap by head coach Kenji and then happily posed for photos with the players.
Kind thanks to the Hong Kong Football Club organizer who invited our players again and Soccer 7’s chairman Tony Bratsanos was presented with a Breakthrough cap.
