What a slam dunk for the community! Last week’s Marine (MAR) Basketball League finals at the Police Officers’ Club were about more than just competition; they were about connection.
The event featured fierce competition among four men’s teams and a fantastic friendly match between the Marine representatives and Operation Breakthrough. The goal: fostering a strong bond with local teenagers and using sports as a powerful tool for positive change.
A big thank you to Operation Breakthrough Chairperson David Jordan for kicking off the friendly match and to all participants for their incredible enthusiasm!
Operation Breakthrough uses sports to connect at-risk youth with current and retired police officers, who serve as mentors and role models.
We would like to show our appreciation to MAR for supporting this mission and we are looking forward to collaborating activities to promote community engagement and deliver positive messages to youngsters.
