Adventure Camps
Boys and girls from various Breakthrough activities are nominated by their respective social workers based on their satisfactory performance and improvement over the previous year to take part in adventure camps which includes a lot of team building exercises where they build up personal confidence and interpersonal skills. At the closing ceremony on the last day of the course, parents and family members came to share their joy and adventurous stories.
Dance has operated on a long-term basis where girls with disadvantaged backgrounds can attend regular dance classes throughout the year.   

Breakthrough dancers have numerous chances to stage public performances where they can reach out to the community.  They gain a lot of recognition and hence can build up their confidence and self esteem. Some performances focus on the theme of healthy lifestyle and anti-drug messages, which aim at bringing positive influence on their peers while some are volunteer works serving other vulnerable sectors of the community.  
Cricket has been an establishment part of Operation Breakthrough with more senior members playing. From 2022, Operation Breakthrough has taken the initiative to recruit younger generation for this sports. ​In 2024-2025 season, we have successfully entered two teams, U15s and U19s in local league competitions. 
Boxing was the first sport that Operation Breakthrough provided. It started off at the rooftop of a police station. It then slowly grow. 
In 2022, we added Kowloon East boxing program. This program help the primarily ethnic minorities taking part in boxing training. Two qualified coaches are Operation Breakthrough alumni and have experienced its motto of "Sports can change lives". They are now continuing their spirit through coaching the students. 
Rugby was formed in November 2003 with 40 boys aged 13 to 16 from Tin Shui Wai and Wong Tai Sin police district. 

The activity is strongly supported by Hong Kong China Rugby. We have seen Breakthrough boys who previousky had no experience of the game, go on to become very proficient players, some even playing t national level. 

Rugby has been a cornerstone of Operation Breakthrough, a vigorous recruitment will be launched to recruit young people from underprivileged groups, NGO support groups and identified school. 
Dragonboat is one of Operation Breakthrough most successful programs. In 2022, team held over 24 training sessions and other activities with a total participation of roughly 200 people, who are mainly from the Hong Kong Christian Service Small Group Home, St. Christopher's Home, Salvation Army's Home and referrals from social workers of youth centres.
Running is very mature with the support of committed regular, auxiliary and retired police volunteers serving as coaches and mentors. In July 2023, we celebrated the 500th training session in Tsing Yi. By the end of December 2023, we would have held over 516 training sessions in Tsing Yi.
