Rugby Weekly Update

Well there were no matches last week but attached are a few snaps from the visit to the Chief Secretary's Residence for tea. Although I unfortunately couldn’t make it, I understand the trip went really well and helped to raise our profile and publicize what Breakthrough are doing amongst senior government officials and it also help our standing within the police force. It was also nice for those involved to get some recognition. Belows are the photos.

This week we have a very full day of rugby on Sunday:

· Some of the girls are involved in the U16 and U19 regional games at THT and Kings Park;

· The U16s Boys are involved in another friendly series at Tin Siu Wai from 10am to 1pm;

· The U19 1st XV are playing Valley Fort at the Police Club at 1.30pm; and

· The U19 2nd XV are playing Tigers 3 at 2.45pm, also at the Police Club.

I think we are over our recent spate of injuries following last weekend’s break and with the international games on Saturday many of the senior teams are not playing so I am hopeful we will have a good turnout at the Police Club and it will be a good opportunity to watch the U19s in action if you are free.

Last but not least Shoreditch restaurant in Kennedy Town is hosting a charity fundraiser for Breakthrough on 30 November. Tickets are $450 with 50% of the ticket price going direct to Breakthrough. The price includes free flow booze and food from 7-9 and there will be a charity auction with 100% of the proceeds going direct to Breakthrough. Attached is a flyer, so please put this in your diaries.
